Job Title: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Lead with TLR for Writing Lead

MPS1-6 Salary (£30,000 to £41,333)

Plus TLR 2a (£3,226)

Old Sarum Primary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Lead with an additional exciting whole school leadership role as a Writing Lead. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our committed team and make a significant difference to the lives of our children and families.

We are looking for a person who will share the school’s vision, values and journey for sustained improvement. We are also looking for someone who is able to:

  • Lead and manage the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team, ensuring high-quality provision for children aged 3-5 years.
  • Develop and implement an inspiring and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners within the EYFS framework.
  • Provide leadership and support to staff within the EYFS team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, identifying areas for development and implementing effective strategies to support individual learning journeys.
  • Take a lead role in the development and delivery of the writing curriculum across the school, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and progression.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues in the planning, delivery, and assessment of writing across all key stages.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest educational research, developments, and best practices in EYFS and writing education, incorporating these into school practice.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues to achieve excellence.
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its application in practice.
  • A track record of raising attainment and progress.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to practice.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the wider life of the school.


Additional Information:

  • This position includes a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) point for the role of Writing Lead. We will however consider applicants for EYFS lead without the Writing Lead responsibility for the right candidate if needed.
