Woodlands Primary Academy is a large inner city primary school situated in Leeds. We have recently had a successful OFSTED inspection and are a rapidly developing school. We have a committed, hard working and optimistic staff and fantastic, friendly and hardworking children. Our parents are very supportive of the school.

Our Early Years provision is good with outstanding features. We run a Reggio Emilia inspired setting and progress is rapid from very low starting points.

We require an inspiring leader who will help take us to outstanding. They will have a place on the senior leadership team and work with the Deputy Head to raise standards and develop all Early Years staff. The successful candidate will be non teaching, but expected to provide a model of highly effective teaching practice and ability to develop all staff in the setting.

You will need to:

  • Have proven leadership ability in an Early Years setting
  • Be committed to and understand the needs of children within inner city contexts
  • Be able to demonstrate outstanding teaching and impact on learning
  • Have a high level of understanding in relation to the current educational agenda
  • Be committed to inclusive practices
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of children
