Ruskin Education is a UAE based education consultancy supporting schools and Early Years educators in improving provision and quality. We are currently recruiting for a new and innovative Early Years Development Centre for children from 2-6 years. The new Centre will combine the EYFS with a strong enrichment programme utilizing the best of brain research on how young children learn. The Centre is a premium facility promoting a lifestyle choice for parents keen to work in partnership with the Centre to get the best possible rounded education for children keen to explore a wide range of stimulating and enrichment activities and programmes to develop their creative, physical and intellectual skills and knowledge. We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic and creative early years educator to be a key member of the teachjng staff, contributing towards the development of the centre and manage a team of learning and early years support assistants to deliver a high quality early years education and build a strong reputation for high quality and partnership. The successful candidate will have strong and successful experience in teaching and learning within an early years environment and providing high quality early education and care. Familiarity with the EYFS is an advantage but not essential. Reports to Centre Manager

Job Scope 
Managing the various resources of the Centre in order to provide positive and efficient learning opportunities for all children irrespective of their background and starting point. Providing for high quality teaching and learning and for high levels of engagement with children and their parents and carers in supporting the development of confident, discerning and motivated children able to show real curiosity in learning and exploring their enquiring minds.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Plan, prepare and evaluate lessons, activities and learning and teaching strategies through the maintenance of a professional teaching plan
  • Build the enrichment programmes and implement the concept and strategy for securing enquiring minds through well-planned and organized activities
  • Provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment in which consideration is given to the individual development of all children
  • Differentiate learning and teaching and associated resources in a manner that challenges and interests students and is appropriate to the needs and skill-levels of students
  • Create and maintain a classroom environment that reflects the variety and quality of student’s work and stimulates learning
  • Utilise positive and supportive behaviour management strategies that are conducive to effective learning and teaching
  • Carry out a range of formative assessments of student’s attainments to acknowledge and inform progress
  • Take an active interest in maintaining subject knowledge, learning networks and current educational research
  • Contribute and respond positively to the outcomes of the school’s self-evaluations review and inspection
  • Attend meetings designed to share information necessary for the smooth running of the school and the successful delivery of its aims
  • To constructively contribute to school improvements and to implement agreed whole school policies/initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality with regard to all school matters at all times.

Position Requirements

  • Education Bachelor degree or equivalent Early Years qualification
  • Qualified teacher status or equivalent Early Years qualification

MUST HAVE SKILLS

  • Excellent knowledge of how young children learn
  • Exceptional relationships and communication skills
  • Good management skills 

Experience 

  • At least 2 years experience in working in successful early years settings
  • Leading an area of learning eg,. languages, physical, social or emotional area of learning
  • Understanding of young children and how to develop their emotional intelligence

Competencies

  • Well organized
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Flexibility and creative thinking
  • Excellent range of teaching pedagogies

Additional Requirements  

  • Any additional language a plus

Salary & Benefits 

  • The salary and benefits package is sound and will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate and is in-line with UAE Labour Law.

Contract 

  • 2 year contract with the option for renewal
