Oxford University Press is one of the foremost schools publishers with a wide range of resources for UK and international markets. To enhance the digital services we provide to teachers and learners, in 2011 we acquired an educational website called MyMaths.

About the Role
MyMaths is a hugely popular online maths teaching and homework website used with over 4 million users in the UK and around the world. To help us to continually develop the site and support our teachers and learners with new and improved content, we are looking for an Editor to work closely with the Secondary MyMaths Publisher in a creative and rewarding role.

The Editor role is key in ensuring the continued success of MyMaths and the high service levels we target.

Responsibilities include:

  • creating and checking new activities to enrich the site
  • working closely with our digital and customer support teams to ensure that customer queries are dealt with quickly and effectively
  • contributing to new areas of content provision
  • testing new platform features
  • contributing ideas for new developments on the site.

This is an initial 51-week contract.

About You
To be successful in this role you must

  • Have A Level or equivalent in mathematics
  • Be familiar with online learning tools, such as MyMaths, and excited about their potential
  • Be highly organised and collaborative
  • Be keen to learn new technical skills
  • Have good communication skills

It is also desirable that you

  • Have a degree or equivalent in a mathematical discipline
  • Have some experience in editing
  • Have experience of teaching mathematics ideally at secondary level
