We are looking for a committed lecturer at our Truro Campus who will combine, both appropriate academic and teaching qualifications with industry experience. The successful candidate will have a Primary School background, with an ability to inspire students and maintain excellent working relationships in a successful Education and Training Department, whose ethos is to inspire and develop the educators of the future.

The Education and Training Team are hard-working and supportive, running courses from Level 2 to Level 7 in Education and Training across the sector. The successful applicant will deliver on our T-level Education and Early Years course, FdA Teaching and Learning, and within adult CPD delivery, these programmes are all linked to teaching in the primary sector. The successful candidate will contribute to providing an outstanding learning experience for our students, and be flexible to changes within provision as the educational landscape develops.    

The successful applicant may be required to teach on a range of units, that are linked to their experience. This will include planning and delivering lessons, observing and assessing children in the primary age phase. Based on the successful candidates experience they may be asked to lead on the development of a unit. You will have tutorial responsibility for a group of learners and oversee their development and progression. You will also need to work with confidence with a wide variety of ability levels and show enthusiasm for all aspects of the subject. 

We are looking for a candidate who will combine a good honours degree in Education and/or extensive relevant professional experience within the primary sector, and a teaching qualification. You will be passionate about Education, and supporting students to gain the skills, knowledge and qualifications to progress on to higher level studies, or to join the workforce.

Due to the nature of this role, applicants should have their own transport to be able to conduct visits in practice and have a flexible approach to be able to teach some evenings. The successful applicant will need to be committed to CPD and contribute to providing a truly outstanding learning experience for our students. 

*Non-qualified applicants will be considered but will be paid on a non-qualified lecturer scale.
