We are looking to recruit a Coordinator to oversee the transfers of Learning Disability Assessments (LDA) to Education Health Care plans (EHC plan) with young people at the Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Ashford campuses. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate knowledge of learning difficulties and disabilities; attention to detail and an understanding of the new SEND legal duties.
Some of the main duties include:
- To liaise with Young People, Parents, Careers, Education, Health, Care, Social Services or other professionals
- Complete documentation with attention to detail
- Work to legal requirements and timeframes
You will need to hold Level 3 qualification in support or teacher qualification with special study in learning difficulties and disabilities (special needs). It is essential that you have Knowledge of services and provision for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities (special educational needs). GCSE A - C in English and Maths or Level 2 equivalent is required

West Kent College is a mixed, non-denominational further and higher education college in Kent, serving students from the age of 16 and above. The college has campuses in Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.
West Kent College was founded in 2014 after K College’s six campuses were split into two units. The Tonbridge and Tumbridge Wells sites and the two sites in Ashford were taken over by the Hadlow College Group – making two campuses West Kent College and Ashford College. A third campus, East Kent College, has taken over the Folkestone and Dover sites. West Kent College offers courses at GCSE level to Degree programmes, which are validated by the University of Kent, University of Greenwich and Cantebury Christ Church University.
