Job overview

We are looking to recruit an experienced Educational Support Assistant to join our SEN Team and Personalised Learning Provision. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about working with young people, who is proactive, courageous, open-minded, and enthusiastic. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have the resilience, drive and determination to support students to overcome their barriers to learning.

Applicants require Maths and English GCSE grade C/4 or above to qualify for this role.  

The role is term time plus 3 days, working hours 8.30am - 3pm (4pm on a Monday to attend CPD).

This role may appeal to anyone considering teacher training to gain some experience in a school.

We are an oversubscribed, 11-16 comprehensive school situated in North Kirklees, West Yorkshire. Having been awarded ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in March 2022, this is a key time for Spen Valley High School as we build upon our many strengths and continue to develop a truly coherent and high-quality provision for our students.
