Learning and Community Services

This new service brings together library services, community development, adult and community learning, skills and employment, the Creative Academy and apprenticeships, focusing on the needs of residents, working within neighbourhoods and through community hubs.

With responsibility for the adult skills budget including apprenticeships, performance and quality you will be pivotal in managing the implementation of a new community learning and skills structure across two boroughs.

We are seeking someone who has:

  • Extensive experience in managing SfA funding.
  • Excellent track record of curriculum planning and the delivery of high quality accredited programmes.
  • Leadership skills to inspire and lead a team with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity to influence the development of a newly formed service that seeks to create new ways of working. It is both an exciting and challenging time, but will give considerable experience for someone who is committed to delivering an integrated service achieving best outcomes for our residents.
