English Coordinator

Beckford Primary School is a vibrant and diverse school with an ambition to provide a world class education for all children in the school. 
 
We are seeking to appoint a highly-motivated, inspirational and successful teacher who can work with the Leadership Team as an English coordinator to ensure high quality English learning and teaching across the school.  This will be one of two English coordinator posts focusing on either the leading of reading or writing across the school.

The successful applicant must:

• Be an exemplary and creative classroom practitioner who can make learning and teaching effective and fun 
• Be an excellent teacher of English who can act as a lead teacher in the subject
• Have very good subject knowledge of English throughout the primary phase
• Have an understanding of the strategies for developing the English skills base of pupils and staff 
• Be able to support staff in developing their teaching of English
• Have the vision, drive and energy to build on our achievements in English
