Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and inspirational English teacher who will play a key role in influencing a subject that is vital to our curriculum.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate what skills and attributes they are able to bring to the role.
Applicants would be required to teach key stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to develop their skills in relation to key stage 5.

St George’s School is an independent, co-educational, Church of England, all-through school for children aged 3-18. It is situated in Edgbaston, Birmingham, and has 410 pupils on its roll. Entry to the upper school is through assessment and St George’s offers academic and music scholarships for gifted children.
St George’s was established as a charitable trust in 1999 and it is proud to be Birmingham’s first all-through independent school from nursery to sixth form. It is situated on Calthorpe Estate, among landscaped gardens.

“The school is making good progress towards fulfilling its stated aims. Throughout the school, pupils display secure knowledge and understanding of the material covered in their syllabuses. Pupils are keen to do well in their studies and their conduct in class is excellent. Teaching is good. Consequently pupils of all ages make good progress, in response to a good curriculum and their academic achievement is substantial with the great majority of sixth form leavers proceeding to degree courses."
