Beech House is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational all-through school with nursery and without sixth form situated in Rochdale, Lancashire. It is an independent school, which will provide 255 places for nursery, primary and secondary students aged 2-16 when fully subscribed.

The school was founded in 1922 and operates out of four Victorian houses near the town centre, with the lower preparatory department situated half a mile away from the main school. Since receiving accreditation from the Border Agency in 2009, the school has enrolled a growing number of students from abroad, increasing its diversity.

Values and Vision

The school's Latin motto “Crescit Perstudium Felicitas” translates as “happiness increases through studies”, representing its supportive yet challenging attitude. It aims to combine a traditional education with all the skills and resources expected of a more modern style. Small class sizes means that places are limited. The school also has a good relationship with local employers and training establishments.

ISI

“From the EYFS onwards, the pupils’ overall achievement is good. The pupils are courteous, and in interviews, they expressed their pride in the school and their achievements. Arrangements for welfare, health and safety work well and ensure that pupils feel safe in the family environment where all members of the community are respected. In their responses to the questionnaires, parents were pleased with the education and care that their children received. The inspection judgement endorsed this view.”
