Priory Education Services working in partnership with NHS Tier 4 Specialist Services have an exciting opportunity for English Specialist within Fairhaven Young People’s Unit.

Fairhaven Young People’s Unit is an in-patient mental health care facility designed to meet the needs of teenagers.

As a Teacher at Fairhaven Young People’s Unit you will develop and maintain a stimulating work environment using a range of techniques designed to meet a variety of learning styles and individual needs. You will ensure associated administrative duties relating to attendance, assessments and case reviews are delivered to the agreed quality and timescale. You will also take cross-curricular responsibility for a specific issue or key stage.

• You must be a qualified teacher with proven exceptional classroom practice and ability to demonstrate outstanding teaching in English to A levels and GCSE standards
• You will be expected to prove excellent knowledge of target setting, assessment and tracking practice with learners to underpin high expectations
• You will be flexible and demonstrate high professional standards, passion, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Prior knowledge and experience within the field of special needs would be an advantage
