Foundry College is a ‘Good’ Pupil Referral Unit in the heart of the community of Wokingham supporting the young people, schools and families in the area as well as opening our doors to surrounding authorities. Our dedicated staff offer a range of educational, emotional and behaviour support, with bespoke packages for our students aged 4 - 16. This year we have achieved our best ever GCSE results and the successful candidates will join us at an exciting time as we expand our services and aspire towards ‘Outstanding’ with our Back on Track programme.
As Foundry College develops we are looking to recruit as soon as possible a number of full-time, highly motivated, outstanding KS3 & KS4 Teachers who really want to make a difference to the young people here. These are key roles within the College, developing a safe, respectful learning environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an effective practitioner looking to develop the curriculum at Foundry College in KS3 & KS4
- Be a person who thrives in a challenging environment
- Be an outstanding classroom teacher with high expectations of learning and behaviour
- Have a commitment to push pupils to achieve beyond their expected progress levels
- Have a proven track record in raising standards and a good understanding of securing school improvement
- Have a passion for building strong relationships with young people through restorative working
- Be someone who is resilient and approachable
- Be a good communicator who is able to inspire and motivate pupils but also who can remain calm under pressure and have a sense of humour
- Be creative in your teaching and strive to bring out the best in pupils
