Job overview

If you have the vision, the drive and the ambition we can offer an unparalleled opportunity to lead our federation on its journey to outstanding.

Sheerness West Federation is formed of two primary schools located in Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent. The Federation provides an education for all, which acknowledges and is enriched by the diversity of ethnicity, culture and faiths of its students.

The Federation has been in operation since 2006 and is made up of Rose Street Primary & Nursery with 260 students and West Minster Primary & Nursery with 460 students. The Federation has ambitious plans to expand to 5 forms of entry.

West Minster School was judged as requiring improvements in 2012 and has since made significant and measurable steps towards good.

Rose Street was judged to be a good school in 2012 and has since been designated as a national support school, a status the Governors are keen to retain.

The Governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational and aspirational Headteacher to build on the Federation's current success. The school community aims to drive forward to outstanding, led by a visionary leader, committed to collaborative working. We would like you to work with us to create a centre of excellence in teaching and learning.

We are proud to offer...

  • A creative, caring environment
  • Children who are proud of their school
  • A committed staff group
  • A supportive and dedicated Governing Body
