Job overview

The Role

Hillstone Primary is looking to appoint an inspirational Foundation Stage Co-ordinator to lead our Early Years Department. This consists of a two form entry Reception team, a sixty place Nursery and a sixty place Kindergarten. Although experience in a similar role is desirable, we would also like to hear from early years practitioners who are positive, ambitious and keen to step into a management role.

About Us

Hillstone School is a happy and thriving two form entry Primary school. The school converted to an academy in September 2014. We are one of only a few selected Art Hub schools in the West Midlands and support other schools in this area. Our extensive grounds enables us to offer several specially designated areas for forest school, two football pitches, race track and an allotment. Our values of Inspire, Care and Educate starts in the Early Years and run right through the school.

We are looking for practitioners with;

  • A rigorous Early Years Leader who can demonstrate proven ability to lead, manage and raise standards of learning for all pupils.
  • A thorough understanding of how young children learn in order to further improve our innovative practice.
  • A secure understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment with prior experience of both formal and informal observations to secure judgements.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate both children and adults, leading by example.
  • The ability to coach and mentor colleagues within a supportive environment to gain consistency of approach.
  • Have the ability to become an influential member of our Senior Management Team, liaising with KS1 colleagues to secure good progress across both key stages.
  • An outstanding teacher with the ability to raise standards for all pupils across the Early Years Phase.

We offer;

  • Dedicated leadership time.
  • A genuine opportunity to lead and make a difference.
  • An exciting place to develop your leadership skills.
  • A friendly, well- resourced environment with wonderful children.
  • Commitment to your continued professional development.

We are a good school with many outstanding features and we are looking for someone to join us on our journey of continuous improvement.
