Our staff are motivated to improve the learning journey for every single pupil in our care. Staff are dedicated to improving the life chances of the children in our community.

Minehead First School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Reception Class teacher to join our school, commencing in September 2024. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Foundation Stage practitioner, to join our committed team and make a significant difference to the lives of our youngest children and families. 

 We are looking for a person who will share the school’s vision, values and journey for sustained improvement. We are also looking for someone who is able to: 

  • Lead and manage the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team, ensuring high-quality provision for the children. 
  • Develop and implement an inspiring and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners within the EYFS framework. 
  • Provide leadership and support to staff within the EYFS team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, identifying areas for development and implementing effective strategies to support individual learning journeys. 
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest educational research, developments, and best practices in EYFS and writing education, incorporating these into school practice.
