Scholars International Academy is a UK curriculum school located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It caters to a community of around 60 student nationalities and is affiliated to, and accredited by, the Ministry of Education in Sharjah. Also, Scholars International Academy is a member of the British Schools of the Middle East and is currently headed for full accreditation by the British Schools of the Middle East / British Schools Overseas inspection services.

The reputation of SIA rides high in the community and, although significant growth is planned for 2015-2016, wait lists are in place. The atmosphere at the school is convivial and welcoming, but academic pursuit is given top priority. We are an approved Centre for Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE external examinations in Years 6, 9 and 11 respectively. We are currently recruiting Foundation Stage (EYFS) as well as Lower Primary Teachers for a 2 year contract.

The teacher package is as follows:

  • AED 8,700 per month
  • Fully furnished and shared 2 bedroom accommodation (with another teacher)
  • Personal and shared use of a car (with 2 other teachers)
  • Health insurance
  • Yearly air ticket home
  • End of contract gratuity

Matching contribution to an Open University Masters Degree program is available for teachers renewing for another 2 years.
