The Governors of this large, Outstanding Primary School in North Shields are looking to recruit a dynamic, passionate and driven Teaching Assistant to join their large, and vibrant school staff. This school serves an area of socio economic deprivation, but the inspirational leadership of the Head Teacher and SMT ensure that the behaviour in the school is Outstanding, with children who are genuinely driven and passionate to learn.

The desired candidate will be working alongside the team within Year 2 to deliver interventions to children requiring additional support in order to reach their expected levels. Additionally to this, the desired teaching assistant will also be working on a whole class basis. The desired candidate will be working on a full time basis up until July 2015 in the first instance, but with a probable extension. Experience of working within KS1 is preferable and experience of delivering interventions in these areas would also be desirable.

In order to be shortlisted for this post, you must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the Key Stage 1 Curriculum and be aware of what is required to ensure all children are able to access this curriculum, and succeed.
