Teacher of English - Special Educational Needs Required September 2024 (or June 2024 if available).

Job role

We are very excited to offer the opportunity for an appropriately qualified, experienced and inspiring English and special educational needs teaching professional to join the team at our new school which opened to pupils in the summer term 2022. The successful candidate will have a successful track record of teaching English to pupils with special educational needs within the secondary phase and ideally evidence of working with children with SEMH.

We would be interested to receive applications from teachers looking for full-time or part-time roles. The ability to offer additional subjects would be an advantage.

About The Haven School Wolston

Our School is a new registered independent school which is situated in a beautiful rural location in the Warwickshire countryside. Our core aim is to offer a highly bespoke education to enhance the social and emotional wellbeing and life chances of vulnerable children who struggle in a mainstream educational setting. The School will have the capacity for 35 students in September 2024, and with further expansions planned for provision for up to 40 students.

The School caters for pupils with SEMH, Autism and ADHD from a number of local authorities and schools and provide them will a highly specialist and individualised educational experience to allow them to overcome their barriers to learning. We are looking to appoint an individual who shares our unflinching commitment to providing the young people we will serve with the best possible future life chances. 

The Haven School Wolston is at an exciting phase of development. Phase two of the development of the school opened in September 2023 and phase three is due to open in September 2024.

The Haven Wolston was inspected by OFSTED in March 2023 and has been graded as good in all areas.
