About Dar Al-Fikr Girls’ School

Dar Al-Fikr Girls’ School is a girls-only, Islamic all-through school with sixth form situated in the city of Jeddah in the Hijaz Tihamah region of western Saudi Arabia, on the same campus as its boys’ counterpart. It is an independent day school with Arabic and English education. With a total of over 950 students at all school stages from primary school all the way up to sixth form college, between the ages of 4-18, Dar Al-Fikr Girls’ School delivers an education that is inspired by eastern and western educational values, offering TOEFL and SAT tests in addition to an American Diploma (AD) Program, the first Saudi Arabian school to be approved by The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education to implement such a program.

There was a growing demand for education in the Jeddah area that was to the standard that could be expected of the United Kingdom or the United States, so in 1985 a group of Saudi businessmen established a school with those in mind. One year after the boys section was inaugurated came the initiation of the girls’ section in 1986.

Values and Vision

The school motto is “faith, righteousness, wisdom”. It is a school with settings of beautiful Islamic architecture and a 25-acre site enclosed by a wall to keep its students happy and safe. Its aim is to produce students who are good, thoughtful and faithful. It builds good Muslims who are communicative, good-thinking and skilful, with the perfect access to learning tools that can help them succeed. Students have gone on to great success in higher education all around the globe.
