Job overview

Required for an immediate start: an enthusiastic, proactive and organised person to support, mentor and work with students who have been identified by staff in school who need a restorative focus following behaviour concerns. The right candidate will enjoy working with students who may present with challenging behaviour and be effective at maintaining good relationships whilst upholding very high expectations of behaviour. They would be working alongside an outstanding team of staff at Nower Hill, and be a part of the Student Support Leadership Team.

 

The post would suit an individual with experience in working with teenagers in some capacity; alternatively, an individual who has worked with young adults and has transferable skills and a real willingness to work patiently with young people experiencing challenges in making the most of their school experience. They would need to be robust and have a positive, “can do” approach.

 

Nower Hill is a high achieving co-educational, multicultural school. At the most recent Ofsted inspection the school was rated “outstanding”. We have high all round standards and a warm, supportive environment.


36 hours per week term time only, Monday to Friday 8:15am-4:15pm (an unpaid break is incorporated in the hours). Salary scale H5, at £29,583 which pro rata is £25,302.34.
