Job overview

We seek to appoint a teacher of Food Technology to work in our expanding and very well resourced Technology department.

Cooking is very popular among our KS3 students and we are looking to offer Food Technology at KS4 in the next couple of years. The successful candidate will have the ability to deliver another Technology specialism.

Rated outstanding by Ofsted in February 2015, Central Foundation is in the top 50 schools in the country based on GCSE outcomes. In 2014, 84% of our Year 11 students achieved 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths. 34% of Year 11 students achieved A/A*.

The behaviour of students is outstanding and the disciplined environment allows the teachers to focus on delivering great academic outcomes.

We are very ambitious in our aim to provide the best possible opportunities for our students. We set high standards for all professionals working at the school but we also provide a very strong net of support for both new and existing colleagues.

Central Foundation is:

  • an outstanding school (Ofsted, February 2015)
  • a school that is situated in a vibrant multi-cultural environment next to the ‘silicon roundabout’ on the edge of the City of London.
  • not a typical boys’ school, over half the staff are female.

Ethnic minority applications are welcomed to provide further balance to our staff.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced criminal record check.

Please download an application pack from TES website or contact Ms Obirek, HR Manager, on 0207 017 3021 / e-mail obireka@cfbs.islington.sch.uk.
