Head Chef

The Eden Academy is looking to appoint a Head Chef to join Pentland Field School From September 2015

27.5 hours per week (9:15am - 2:45pm)

Pentland Field School is a new Free Special School for children and young people aged 5-19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties. We are based in Ickenham, Middlesex within the London Borough of Hillingdon.

Pentland Field opened with 32 pupils in January 2015 and our pupil roll will be increasing to 70 pupils in September 2015 and 140 pupils by September 2016. There has been a phased building programme on the school site to support our increasing pupil roll, and as part of the Phase two refurbishment we will be installing new kitchen facilities to provide cooked meals for our staff and pupils.

We are therefore looking to recruit a Head Chef to prepare, cook and serve food for our staff and pupils in accordance with defined standards and quality, and working within DfE Guidelines in respect of current Health and Safety Policies.

We would welcome applications from candidates who have experience of working in an appropriate environment with NVQ Food Preparation and Cooking Level 1 and 2 qualifications and who are enthusiastic, flexible and are willing to participate fully in the life of a special school.
