Loughborough Grammar School 

Loughborough Grammar School is a leading independent day school with a small boarding element. The School provides education to boys aged 10–18 and is one of the four Loughborough Schools Foundation. Staff benefit from reduced fees for their children in any of the four schools. The School is situated in the university town of Loughborough in the East Midlands: one of the rare regions in England where property prices remain at an affordable level for teachers and young families. 

This is a vibrant school for intellectually curious pupils. With an abundance of first-class facilities and outstanding teaching staff, we deliver a high quality holistic education, where the co-curricular is valued alongside academic achievements.  

Objective: our objective is to be the school of first-choice for boys throughout the East Midlands. Our aims are that pupils become:

Ethos and Religion:  

Although the school is proud of its Christian heritage dating back to 1495, Loughborough Grammar School welcomes pupils from all faiths (and of none) and makes provision for their spiritual welfare. The ‘spirit’ of Loughborough Grammar School is nurtured by fostering good relationships between all members of the community based on the core values of mutual respect, kindness and the Golden Rule of treating others as we would like to be treated ourselves.   

The acquisition of a moral compass, so dear to our founders five centuries ago, remains of fundamental importance. However, we are also determined to offer boys a thoroughly modern learning experience, benefitting from first-class facilities and an understanding of the importance of an all-round education which helps to develop the emotional intelligence required to make a success of their personal and professional lives.
