Mowden Hall is a highly successful independent co-educational boarding and day school for around 200 children aged 3 to 13 set amongst 55-acres of stunning grounds in the Tyne Valley. The School is widely recognised as the leading co-educational preparatory school in the North East and aims to produce pupils who think of others before themselves, and yet understand the importance of fulfilling their own potential.

Mowden Hall provides academic excellence, superb pastoral care and an inspiring and broad curriculum for the education of its pupils who continue their education at many of the country’s leading independent schools. Central to the ethos of life at Mowden is the boarding tradition, and it has a vibrant boarding community.

Mowden Hall is part of the Prep Schools Trust, a leading education charity. The Prep Schools Trust holds the ambition to be the best prep schools group in the UK, with each school delivering the broadest possible opportunities for its children.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to lead a school with a long history and a global reputation. The new Head will have the charisma, credibility and commitment required to lead this expectational community forward and continue to secure the future of the school for generations to come.
