HEAD OF ACADEMY for Exeter – a learning community

The Directors of Woodnewton Academy Trust seek to appoint an inspiring, enthusiastic and resilient Head of Academy at Exeter – a learning community.

They are looking for an innovative leader who can demonstrate a proven track record of significant impact within their current post. The post-holder will be accountable to the Executive Principal and will undertake the day-to-day management of the single academy.

Exeter – a learning community is a 2 – 11 (year old) primary academy with an integrated Childrens’ Centre located in Corby, Northamptonshire. The most recent Ofsted report recognised it as ‘an improving school’.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to encourage and motivate others;
  • An unrelenting focus on academic progress;
  • The ability to fully engage parents and the local community; and
  • A commitment to undertake and use evidence-based research to promote the continuous growth and development of our learning community.

The post is permanent, has no class responsibility and commences on 1st September 2015.
