Job overview
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Head of Art. This is an opportunity for an outstanding teacher to lead a developing department.
The department benefits from a dedicated suite of studios, a kiln for pottery work and photography equipment. Art is taught to all KS3 pupils and is growing in popularity in KS4 and KS5. An experience of teaching at KS5 would be an advantage but not essential.
We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with leadership qualities who can inspire students and staff. Art makes a significant contribution to extra curricular activities so stamina and energy are essential.

Slough and Eton is a great school and I am immensely proud to have joined it as Headteacher in September 2017. Pupils and students at Slough and Eton are expected to work extremely hard and are encouraged to achieve their very best in all that they do. As a result of their tremendous work ethic they achieve extremely well and we are very proud of them. We believe in educating the whole child and as such place great importance on the many cultural experiences we provide for pupils and students as well as the academic ones.
As a Church of England school we welcome pupils from all faiths, foster a culture of tolerance and understanding throughout the school and are always delighted to show visitors the fantastic things that happen here.
