Job overview
Required for September 2015/January 2016, an inspirational teacher of Graphics/Art graphics and Resistant Materials to lead the Arts and Technologies Cluster at Trinity. The successful candidate will have a passion for the subjects, working with young people and be dedicated to high standards and attainment.
The successful candidate will be leading a hardworking and highly motivated staff team within an Inner City context. This is an opportunity for the right person to build the Arts/Technologies Cluster from the excellent foundations already laid.
Trinity secondary is a small, oversubscribed Church of England school. We aim to foster a strong Christian ethos within the school, however, we are fully inclusive and encourage applicants of all faiths and none.
The successful candidate will:
- be able to teach Resistant Materials at KS3 and Art/Art Graphics up to KS4
- be able to inspire and enthuse pupils
- have excellent classroom management skills
- be a teacher with consistently 'Good' or 'Outstanding' classroom practice
- be a passionate advocate of the subject who contributes effectively to departmental development
- develop the skills and talents of other members of the department
- lead, plan, manage and develop specific aspects of the department in order to promote the highest possible standards
