Sandwell College is now seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and driven Head of Department/Assistant Director who will be responsible for the delivery of GCSE Maths and English. Our current Maths and English programmes, for both 16-18 and adults, have seen significant growth and is quickly becoming a thriving and popular subject at the college. We are looking for an outstanding Maths/English leader and teacher who is keen to drive our vision of becoming a centre of excellence and achieve our goal to make Sandwell College an Outstanding college.

You will raise and lead the development of the provision and be proactive in your approach when monitoring and supporting student progress. You will also have significant experience and a proven track record in raising achievement in GCSE programmes in a school or FE environment.

 It has two state of the art campuses in West Bromwich accessible through excellent transport links and, following a successful merger with Cadbury Sixth Form College, has an exciting presence in Birmingham.
