Head of Department - Performing Arts

Salford City College is looking for a dynamic and inspirational Head of Department to continue to build on the outstanding educational and enrichment success of the Performing Arts Department and The Pendleton Season of Shows at Pendleton Sixth Form Centre, part of Salford City College.   

It is essential that the successful candidate has the skills, knowledge, drive and enthusiasm to lead a team that continues to deliver an outstanding learner experience. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning in a Performing Arts subject. You will also have a strong commitment to student success, well developed leadership skills and experience of innovative and collaborative working.

You will also work to further enhance the regional and national profile of the Performing Arts Department, engaging with students, staff and parents at the college and external organisations. Salary: D1 - D3 of the Sixth Form Colleges Teaching Staff pay scale, currently £44,178 - £46,599 per annum (salary assumes PSP has been awarded)
