About the role

Enjoying overall strategic responsibility, you’ll provide robust support and challenge to ensure high quality education across all providers, and in all areas of development and improvement to prevent school failure. Flexible in your approach, you’ll provide support and advice to leaders and providers, identifying when intervention is needed, and commissioning or providing appropriate arrangement to ensure rapid improvement. Increasing the number of outstanding providers and building strong partnerships between providers is a key strand of our vision to create a self-sustaining community.

About you

You’re an exceptional strategic thinker, with school improvement expertise, you’ll manage a diverse and complex range of services, including deputising for the Assistant Director, Learning and Achievement, with opportunities to lead on council wide projects. Always committed to building strong, effective links between our education communities.

You’ll be joining a tight-knit team with a shared vision for the long-term benefit of children and young people across the Borough.
