The School:

A special emphasis is placed on the integration of technology into the curriculum with a high level of community engagement and involvement in the school. GEMS Royal Dubai School offers the National Curriculum for England, to pupils from Foundation Stage to Year 6.

The Post:

We are looking for an individual who can:

  • Provide consultancy, advice and support to staff and EAL pupils across all primary phases
  • Plan and develop differentiated approaches to facilitate access to the curriculum for bilingual pupils
  • Collaborate with leadership, teachers, parents and others to ensure that EAL pupils receive the most appropriate support and resources
  • Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents
  • Support the assessment and reporting of the development of bilingual pupils in collaboration with class teachers and others where appropriate
  • Participate in future planning, raising achievement and individual review of EAL pupils
  • Where circumstances require, participate in co-operative/partnership teaching, individual pupil support and/or small group collaborative learning
  • In collaboration with language Support assistants, encourage and promote pupils’ bilingualism and positive links between home and school
  • Contribute to staff development on strategies, approaches and resources for EAL pupils
  • Undertake development work within curriculum guidelines in order to create and innovate

Our compensation and benefits package includes:
