We are seeking a talented and creative teacher to lead our successful and forward looking department. You will have a clear vision for the place of English in the school curriculum and in 21st century society.
Our motivated, hard-working students are eager to develop fluent, effective, accurate and creative communication skills and to enjoy the probing study of literature.
The school offers excellent CPD and leadership opportunities as a lead provider within a School Direct Partnership.
The successful candidate will be able to appoint a Second in Department as this post has recently become vacant following an external promotion of the current Second in English.
A proven track record of effective teaching is essential. The Head of English will need to be able to lead a team of staff with positive and strong, dynamic leadership related to teaching and learning and pupil progress.
Ofsted (2013) describes the school as Outstanding in all areas.
