Job overview

NHP, now officially accredited as a ‘Thinking School’, is vibrant and charismatic. Its success is founded on academic rigour, balanced by an innovative, cutting-edge pedagogy. We teach children not merely to learn, but to learn how to learn. NHP also takes its responsibilities as a ‘teaching school’ seriously. A culture of pedagogic interest ensures that ambitious new teachers integrate and develop their practice quickly.

We are looking to appoint a new Head of ICT. The successful candidate will continue the work of the outgoing Head of Department, who has created a legacy of excellence and a forward-thinking vision of ICT at the school. They will have the ambition to build upon that success and the confidence to stamp their own vision upon school ICT.

The successful applicant will be responsible for school ICT from Reception to Year 8, although their own teaching is likely to focus on Year 4-8. More precise details of the technical elements of the role can be found in the job specification included in the Application Pack.

The ability to coach Sport, while not a prerequisite, would be an advantage.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS.
