This is an exciting opportunity to influence the vision and direction of our Infants School. We are looking for dynamic EYFS practitioners with a passion for learning and genuine interest in, and commitment to, purposeful play and outdoor learning. The successful candidate will be an outstanding, learning focused practitioner with high expectations for children and their learning. They must have a strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and Assessment for Learning. Use of a VLE such as Tapestry to support learning within the classroom and beyond, as well as for assessment purposes and communication with parents, would be a strong advantage. Experience of working with children for whom English is not their mother tongue is essential.

As part of our primary leadership team, the successful candidate would be expected to be a dynamic and collaborative teacher, preferably with leadership experience, who has the ability to lead our EYFS team of five teachers and eight learning assistants while our current Head of Infants is on maternity leave. We currently operate from pre-Nursery to Reception with five classes in total. The statutory period of maternity leave is 4 months, although we envisage that this may be extended up to one year. A permanent position may be available in school upon conclusion of this maternity cover, although this is subject to availability of an appropriate position. We are looking for someone who can inspire, challenge and engage our team, as well as being a highly flexible, co-operative and supportive member of the EYFS and wider school team. A commitment to educating the whole child, emphasis on high levels of pastoral care and an inclusive approach to education will be of the utmost importance as we make the final appointment. The ability to adapt quickly to new situations, with a problem-solving mindset is something we value very highly. As our students come to us from a range of different backgrounds and with varying needs, an interest in raising attainment across all ability levels is imperative.

The school is a part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP). This is a collection of 81 schools across 21 countries with a united focus on how to grow internationally minded students through strategic outstanding practice. We operate on a large campus with many new and developing facilities. The school has seen significant growth in recent years, with potential for more.  We follow an adapted English National Curriculum across our primary and secondary schools, leading to examination at IGCSE and IB Diploma.
