We are seeking to appoint a dynamic leader of our integrated early years service who has a track record of success in securing strong outcomes for children’s learning, development, health and wellbeing and supporting families to become confident, resilient champions of their children’s success.

Camden Council and schools invest more per child than any other Council in England to help all children get the best start in life prioritising early intervention for the thirty per cent of our children born into poverty in Camden. In this way, we can ensure no child is left behind and that by the age of eleven Camden children have amongst the highest attainment with the narrowest gaps in the country.

You will join this service at an exciting time as the Council reconfigures its children’s service, with a stronger focus on meeting differing needs in Camden’s localities and harnessing the combined resource of all partners and sectors in Camden to bring this about.

The role

You will work directly to the Assistant Director in a newly-created division in children’s services which will focus on delivering the agenda for prevention, early intervention and family resilience. Your primary responsibility will be to establish the new service to support the transformation of early years’ services (to be known as ‘Camden Sure Start’), working closely with partners in health, education, and employment and in the voluntary, community and private sectors.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check
