On the promotion of the current post holder to a Senior Leadership Position in another leading GSA school, a vacancy has arisen for Head of Lower School, Assistant Head.

Headington is a vibrant and welcoming school set in 23 acres of playing fields and grounds. In an environment where individuals come first, Headington is renowned for its commitment to pastoral and academic excellence, an impressive range of sports, music and the arts. It enables its pupils to achieve well, (the school produces excellent value added for its pupils) but at the same time enjoy their learning experience.

This is an exciting post to lead the Lower School as part of the Senior Management Group, supporting and guiding pupils in this key part of their education.The successful candidate will promote pupil wellbeing and academic achievement through high quality pastoral monitoring and academic tracking, as well as being responsible for the welfare of all pupils in the section. Any teaching discipline will be considered.

Headington School pupils achieve outstanding results at A Level and in the IB. Situated within the City of Oxford, it is well located to develop academic links for the benefit of its pupils.

Headington is a leading day and boarding school for girls aged 3-18, set in a green 23-acre site located a mile from Oxford city centre.
