Head of Mathematics

Due to the promotion of the previous postholder, the Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and well qualified Head of Department capable of teaching Mathematics to the highest standard at all levels including A level Maths and Further Maths. Maths is a high achieving subject with 82% A* to C in 2014. We have a strong pastoral system which supports academic success. We have high expectations of behaviour and there are very good relationships between staff and pupils based on mutual respect. You will be part of a supportive school in leading a team of Maths specialists.

Bellerive is a popular, successful and oversubscribed Catholic College for girls aged 11-18 with a mixed Sixth Form. It works in partnership with 4 other schools at Post 16.

We were judged as "good" by Ofsted in 2012, with behaviour and safety assessed as "outstanding". We were assessed as an "outstanding" Catholic college by the Archdiocese of Liverpool in the Section 48 inspection in 2012 and our English Department was recently judged as "outstanding" during a thematic inspection
