Cranford House (GSA) is a leading, independent day school for girls aged three to sixteen and boys aged three to seven. Set in over 14 acres in rural South Oxfordshire, with easy commuting links to Reading and Oxford, we are seeking to recruit an exceptional, dynamic and motivated Head of Maths, qualified to teach Key Stages 3 and 4. Ability to teach Key Stage 5 is also essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding candidate to shape the new Mathematics curriculum at one of the UK's leading small independent schools. Cranford House was rated 'excellent' in all categories in our recent ISI Inspection (November 2014) and ranked 6th nationally at GCSE in The Times Parent Power Survey for small Independent Schools (December 2014).

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of achievement for all pupils and a passion for teaching and learning and curriculum development. A willingness to make a contribution to the extracurricular life of the School is essential.

Cranford School Sixth Form opened its doors in September 2020, in addition to the extension of its successful co-educational provision into the Senior School. This will see boys admitted into Year 7 and Year 12 and represents a natural and exciting next step on the school's educational journey.

Cranford School opened in 1931 with just one pupil, on a site that now hosts Moulsford Preparatory School. It later expanded and moved to its current location with larger facilities. The school has recently enjoyed an ambitious programme of capital development including the addition of a modern sports hall in 2014, the development of a new IT suite, enhanced performing arts spaces, a new food technology and art and design suite and our Junior School extension.
