The Governors of this very successful 11–18 Comprehensive School (Converter Academy) seek to appoint a Head of Maths.

You will have excellent subject knowledge and will be energetic, enthusiastic, committed to enabling students to achieve as highly as possible and keen to join a school community where innovation is welcomed and success celebrated. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher of Maths to lead our Maths Department.

About Altwood Church of England School

Altwood Church of England School is a mixed 11-18 secondary school and the only Church of England secondary school in Maidenhead, Berkshire.  Altwood School converted to academy status in August 2012. The pupil roll is around 780, including some 140 students who attend the school’s sixth form.

In 1836, the school site was home to Boyn Hill Church of England Senior Girls School and St Lukes Church of England Secondary Boys School but in 1907 the two schools merged to produce a coeducational school called Altwood Church of England Secondary School. Altwood School became a comprehensive school in 1975 and a Business and Enterprise College specialist school in 2007.

Altwood Church of England School welcomes pupils of all faiths and no faith, but expects its Christian ethos to be respected.
