For the academic year beginning  2015/16 beginning in late August we are seeking flexible, creative, passionate teachers with at least three years teaching experience, who are  reflective practitioners and are capable of providing quality learning in an international school environment where students have English as a second language. Established in 1995, the school school currently has 470+ students on roll from Nursery to year 13.

As Ascot International School approaches its 20th year of operation, we are entering a period of expansion with the introduction of new courses and the construction of new facilities.

New Courses:

  • Year 6 specialist teachers for a bridging year spanning KS2 and KS3
  • Ascot International School is an IB Diploma candidate school and intends to begin delivery of the IB Diploma in August 2016.

New Facilities:

  • Science labs
  • ICT and electronics suites
  • Renovated Art rooms
  • Classroom and seminar rooms for KS4 and 5 students

For the successful candidates there are many opportunities to be involved in managing this process of change.  We welcome experienced IB teachers for the secondary positions, in addition there will be opportunities for teachers to become trained in the IB Diploma programme. The curriculum currently  followed is the National Curriculum for England and Wales with modifications for our position in S.E Asia; in KS4 and KS5 we offer Cambridge IGCSE and A levels, from August  2016 we will phase out the A level courses and intend to  replace them with the IB Diploma.

Head of Primary School (Maths specialist preferred)  50% teaching

We are looking for a impressive educator to lead and inspire a team of 12 classroom teachers plus specialist teachers of PE, Thai, Music and Mandarin. Mathematics is a popular subject area in Thailand and Ascot is keen to improve the provision of this subject area; in addition to leading the primary school there will be a requirement to teach some Mathematics classes across the KS2 range . The successful candidate should have considerable experience of managing change and have taught in an environment where the majority of students have English as a second language

Minimum requirements

ASCOT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL is a growing international school in Bangkok, Thailand.
