Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a hardworking, organised and reflective practitioner who will continue to take the Psychology Department from strength to strength. The successful candidate will be required to take the lead for Psychology and teach the subject in the Sixth Form. You will join a very dynamic team of high quality professionals determined to achieve the highest levels of progress for all their students. You will have excellent classroom management with strong subject knowledge and be committed to raising student attainment.

This post would be suitable for an ambitious teacher with one or two years of teaching experience.

The Psychology Department sits within our Science Faculty which is a young and highly motivated team, driven to constantly improve teaching and learning practices, with strong leadership and good outcomes. The team work together to develop excellent pedagogy at all Key Stages with a strong focus on A Level Teaching. Psychology is a very popular subject in the Sixth Form with good take up and good outcomes.

FCC was inspected by OFSTED in September 2014 with a strong judgement of good in all areas.

Teachers and staff at FCC are very much at the cutting edge of Teaching and Learning. We are a lead school in the West London Teaching School Alliance. We have highly qualified, hard-working and simply brilliant staff who recognise the importance of ensuring that learning is active, exciting and challenging.
