The Head of Residential Life ( HoRL) shall ensure that the residences run in a way that meets the needs of students and the mission and vision of the school. S/he will be responsible for the appointment and leadership of the residential team , for the welfare of residential students and staff , for developing and implementing a quality assurance process to ensure policies are applied consistently and that there is effective pastoral care of students. S/he should ensure good communication between the Residential community, the rest of the school and parents/guardians.
The successful candidate must have a first degree and a recognised teaching certificate, or a Bed/MEd. At least 2 years teaching experience is desired and at least 5+ years of leadership experience in a residential program at an international School. S/he must be trained on child Protection and Safeguarding .
The Head of Residential Life will be expected to actively engage in professional collaboration in and across the Academies and be active in the life of the students beyond the curriculum and market the residences to prospective parents with Admissions
