INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL FOR PRIMARY EDUCATION
Bucharest, Romania seeks a

HEAD OF SCHOOL effective 10th August 2015

THE SCHOOL

The International School for Primary Education (InSPE) is a non-profit organisation and was established in 1994 by a group of parents. The school follows both the National Curriculum for England and Wales EYFS and also the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence. InSPE is currently a member of both the Council of International Schools (CIS) and European Council of International Schools (ECIS) and is currently in the process of undertaking accreditation with CIS.

MISSION AND VISION

Our mission is to encourage the life-long learning of our children through the creation of a nurturing, caring and stimulating environment, where the individual needs of our pupils are respected, encouraged and developed.

At InSPE we have a clear vision of what we as a school want our pupils to achieve and represent, both now and in the future.

Our school community is committed to continuing to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment. This environment will require constant evolution according to the needs of the pupils, parents, staff and school as a whole in an ever-changing world. We want our children to have the very best education that we are able to provide. The four capacities, which underpin the Curriculum for Excellence, provide both the foundation stones and also the building blocks upon which our present and future values are based. These capacities encourage the development of every pupil to enable them to become:

  • a successful learner
  • a confident individual
  • a responsible citizen
  • an effective contributor

THE POSITION

The Board of Directors seeks a Head of School with drive and energy combined with the vision and dedication needed to assume overall responsibility for the whole school and lead InSPE to a positive and successful future. The successful candidate will be an experienced and enthusiastic leader who understands the important role that multiculturalism, global citizenship and diversity play in international education. They must be willing to further raise and develop the teaching and learning standards across all age ranges and also enjoy the challenges that a rapidly developing school will offer.
