Head of School

The Local Governing Body are seeking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated and visionary Head of School to be the day to day operational lead for our Lockleaze Road site. The Governing Body of Filton Avenue Junior School have, following consultation, agreed to move to academy status and merge with the Infant School which is already an academy (Trust in Learning Academies).

The successful applicant will play a major role alongside the Head of School at our Orchard Campus site and the Executive Headteacher in the leadership and further development of the Infant and Junior schools into one amazing primary school across two sites. We are looking to take the best practice each has to offer and learn from the best schools in the country and beyond. We have high ambitions for every pupil in our schools and the community we serve.

This is an exciting non class based role with a wealth of opportunities for the right candidate. You will be part of a forward thinking leadership team comprising both senior leaders and business managers committed to delivering the highest outcomes for all pupils. The successful candidate will secure outstanding outcomes for all pupils through leadership of a single site and shared strategic leadership of Filton Avenue Primary school.
