The Garwood Foundation is a charity that has worked for sixty years to support children and adults with disabilities.

This is a key post requiring a confident leader with SEN experience, who will report to the Foundation trustees and the governing body. Responsibilities will include all aspects of school management and will lead a highly effective and dedicated multi-disciplinary team of staff, building on past success. The successful applicant will appeal as much to someone wishing to broaden their experience as to someone wishing to take the next career step.

Rutherford School is an Independent Day School in South Croydon for 28 children, aged 3 - 19 years, who have profound and multiple learning disabilities, associated physical disabilities and complex medical needs. The pupils also have communication disabilities and many have a visual impairment.

Rutherford School has a qualified team of therapists and nursing staff to cater for the wide range of physical and medical needs. The team includes a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Music Therapist and Nurses.
