An exciting opportunity for a dedicated and strategic Head of School has arisen in one of the country’s largest Colleges. With a turnover of £65m annually, the College Group services c.22,000 learners each year from a diverse variety of backgrounds. With state-of-the-art facilities, Beacon status, Gold Investors in People status and an excellent purpose-built estate across the city, the College is home to ground breaking innovation and involved in a wide variety of exciting new developments across the city and the wider educational landscape.
The role is accountable for effectively planning, communicating, implementing, tracking, managing and leading the College's Curriculum for all levels of education provided within the specific School, utilising multiple types of Teaching & Learning provision. The role holder will ensure that Curriculum staff across their School departments, together with Support functions staff, understand, take ownership for, and are measured & rewarded against their student achievement & financial performance targets.
You will be educated to Degree level in an academic discipline, preferably Health & Social Care and have proven experience managing, motivating and be committed to continuous professional development (CPD) of staff within the post-holder's areas of responsibility. You will be required to assist the Assistant Principals, and colleagues within the Curriculum Management Team (CMT) in providing overall inspirational leadership within the College team. Contribute as a member of the CMT in the strategic management, planning, and development of the College curriculum and participate in developing an integrated team at Teaching & Learning Staff level.

Founded in 1992 following the merger of four further education facilities, The City of Liverpool College is a co-educational, non-denominational further education facility operating from six educational sites. The College Campus is located within Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, which also includes John Moores University and the University of Liverpool. Over £100 million has been invested into the city centre campus. As of the most recent inspection the approximate number of students on the total school roll was 11,000. There are a total of over 500 courses on offer to students, including young learners, sixth form, and adult education.
