Job overview

Due to the retirement of our long-standing Headteacher, alongside the start of a soft Federation with our neighbouring secondary school (Archbishop Tenison's), St Marks is seeking an inspirational and talented candidate to take the school forwards into an exciting new stage in its long history.

We are a single-form entry primary school situated in north Lambeth. We are looking for someone who be able to realise the full potential of every member of the school - both pupils and staff.

We have strong and well-established links to the local parish and wider community, as well as the solid base of a strong Christian ethos. You will also have the support of the newly appointed Executive Head-teacher. In partnership with the Executive Head-teacher and the Governing Body your mission will be to develop and improve teaching and learning across the school in order to drive performance and pupil achievement.

For this post we need a committed individual with an excellent track record in teaching and learning, and with proven leadership skills. In particular, you will have proven experience of driving significant aspects of school improvement and will combine high expectations with enormous enthusiasm and energy.

We offer an attractive salary, the opportunity to work with the most amazing children from a wide variety of backgrounds, and the chance to make a substantial and tangible difference to both the pupils and wider school community.

Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged. The dates for visiting the school are 5th, 9th and 11th March. To make an appointment and receive the information pack, please contact Elaine Peters by emailing admin@stmarkscofe.lambeth.sch.uk
