The Directors of Carmel Education Trust, a multi academy trust, wish to appoint an outstanding Head of School at St Gregory’s Catholic Academy (Nursery and Primary) following the retirement of the current Headteacher.

HEAD OF SCHOOL

St Gregory’s is an oversubscribed, large primary school with a strong sense of community in the parish of English Martyrs and SS Peter and Paul, Stockton. We are looking for a Head of School who is a practising Catholic with a firm commitment to Catholic education and the spiritual and moral well-being of our pupils, able to inspire, challenge and innovate, building on the school’s successes and traditions.

An excellent, engaging communicator you will continue to develop strong relationships with pupils, parents and staff providing visionary leadership and commitment to the continuous development of our school.

As part of the Carmel Education Trust you will join a team of school leaders who collectively support one another across the multi academy trust where academic strength and spiritual depth go hand in hand.

St Gregory’s is a mixed, non-selective, Roman Catholic primary school with nursery situated in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham. It is part of  Carmel Education Trust, a multi-academy trust which supports six other Christian academy schools in the UK and aims to provide a practical and moral purpose to the furthering of education. An average-sized primary school, St Gregory’s will provide a total of 266 places to students aged 3-11 when fully subscribed.

In March 2013, Carmel College converted to become a multi-academy trust under the name Carmel Education Trust; St Gregory’s opened as an academy converter in April.
