Short Heath Junior School is federated with Lane Head Nursery School and Rosedale CofE Infant School. We offer a unique opportunity to lead on teaching and learning within one school whilst working across three phases, sharing experience and expertise.

A Head of School is someone who:

  • Has the freedom to try out new ideas and approaches whilst working under the guidance and supervision of the EHT
  • Can manage the day to day running of the school
  • Can lead the strategic development of the school and the Federation as part of an innovative and extremely supportive Federation Leadership Team
  • Knows what outstanding teaching looks like
  • Wants to develop themselves and others to be the best that they can be
  • Can track the achievement of children, identify and effectively improve progress for those in danger of falling behind
  • Enjoys working with a talented and committed team of staff, children who are keen to learn, parents who are supportive of our school, a church which works closely to support our schools and Governors who challenge and support appropriately
